Enrol in Capstone Editing

As a teacher and mentor, Lisa equipped me with skills that will stay with me for life. From when I first took her courses as an undergraduate, she has always challenged me to excel. It was under Lisa’s guidance during my Honours year that I went from a high-achieving student to an expert writer (and later editor!), and it’s thanks to her that I’m ready and confident to begin my PhD in Military History today. She didn’t just recognise my talent. She helped me make the most of it.

Lisa is not just an expert editor and historian, but also an incredible teacher. She has a great talent for conveying both complex ideas and practical knowledge with ease. It’s impossible not to share her passion for editing and research, and she ensures every student is given the tools and encouragement they need to develop their own excellence.

As a colleague and aspiring educator, I’m always delighted to see Lisa at work. She engages with students on a deeply genuine level and puts the time into supporting them to develop all the foundational academic skills students need to succeed at university. On top of that, Lisa’s course design for Your Thesis Accepted is inspired. Her focus on clear, practical processes means that her students always know what to do, how to do it and what’s next. They never feel overwhelmed.
